About

Based in New York City, Gabrielle is a soprano singer, actor, and dancer trained in both classical music and musical theatre. Active in both repertoires, she is currently part of the Trinity Church Scholar program.

Since 2011, Gabrielle Besse has trained in classical music in France, first at the Maîtrise of Notre-Dame de Paris and later at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional, performing in renowned venues including the Paris’s Philharmonic, the Moscow’s Philharmonic and Théâtre du Châtelet. In 2022, following her passion for theatre and performance, she moved to New York to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), graduating with a focus in Musical Theatre.

She has since performed in a range of intimate cabaret evenings across the city, connecting her French heritage with the American performing arts scene. Her work blends classical technique with theatrical instinct, always rooted in a love of live storytelling. Gabrielle’s passion for performance naturally extends to the screen, where she explores characters in both French and English films.

She is returning to the Trinity Church Choir for their 2026-2027 Scholar program, performing in concerts and liturgical offices throughout the year. Alongside her work at Trinity Church, Gabrielle continues to work as a freelance classical singer, performing with other churches and ensembles across New York City and remaining available for concert, service, and last-minute professional engagements.

Alongside her performance work, she is also taking an interest in the production side of shows across New York.
